What is chiropractic and how does it work?
Chiropractic treatment is simply a method of adjusting the bones of your body to improve skeletal alignment. In doing so it helps the nervous system to work more efficiently, relieves pain and discomfort, and increases mobility.
How is the McTimoney method different?
Developed by John McTimoney over 30 years ago, the McTimoney method is recognised as being a gentle, precise, whole body approach to chiropractic care. McTimoney Chiropractors strive for optimal health by treating the entire animal and not just the problem area. It is taught only at the McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Abingdon, near Oxford, UK.
Margie is trained to correct misalignments using quick, gentle and accurate adjustments using quick, gentle and accurate adjustments to ensure maximum comfort.
Can the McTimoney method be used to treat animals?
Animals, like humans, can suffer back, neck, pelvic, and other muscoskeletal problems and injuries. The McTimoney method is a gentle yet highly effective form of treatment for many animals, including horses, dogs, cats, rabbits, farm animals, birds and even exotics.
Animals, particularly when they’re in pain may be very sensitive. The gentle nature of the McTimoney technique allows most animals to accept this treatment readily, even enjoy it.
The McTimoney Chiropractic Association is the only chiropractic association with a group of chiropractors who have undergone the rigorous academic postgraduate training to qualify to treat animals in this way.
What are the benefits of treatment?
Whatever your animal’s age, whatever their activity, sport or lifestyle, you may help to improve their performance, quality of life, general health and well being with the aid of McTimoney Chiropractic.
Will Margie work alongside my vet?
For legal reasons, chiropractors may only work with your animal with the permission of your veterinary surgeon. Most veterinary surgeons are aware of the benefits of chiropractic care for animals and will readily give their permission for chiropractic treatment takes place.
