Pet bereavement sessions for owners with EFT
Very strong bonds can develop between pets and their owners and we are responsible for our animals' welfare. If they become ill and suffer it obviously affects us emotionally. When they are very ill or very old and the veterinary surgeon advises euthanasia on welfare grounds or we simply cannot afford the vet treatment to fix the problem or we just don't want to put them through any more operations or chemotherapy .......... we may have to make the decision to end their life. Many pet owners become very distressed, harbour feelings of guilt or even become depressed. Sometimes they just miss their pet dreadfully and cannot let go of the grief.
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) are extremely effective in dealing with emotional pain and stress. It involves tapping with fingers on selected acupuncture points whilst focusing on the problem under the guidance of a trained practitioner. Sessions can be conducted over the phone/SKYPE although many people prefer face to face contact. If you are interested in a phone session please familiarize yourself with the EFT Tapping Diagram from this website and before the session commences.
I am an AAMET (Association for the Advancement of Meridian Therapies) certified EFT practitioner. I have used EFT successfully on myself for various emotional issues, for pain and stress relief and have helped numerous other people employing this technique with skill. Once the tapping process has been taught to clients they can continue using EFT at home as a self-help tool.
I relate well to people of all ages, men or women. As a vet I will have an understanding of all the surrounding circumstances, can empathise but still be objective to guide you through the process of letting go. I have a non-judgemental approach and would like to hear from you if you need help to come to terms with the loss of your beloved pet.
Sessions are 60 minutes long and the cost per session is £35.
