What is exotic medicine?
Many vet practices specialise in small animal care (generally cat and dog, with some rabbits) and do not offer veterinary care for other, more exotic species.
This means that owners of birds, reptiles, amphibians and more unusual mammals such as ferrets do not always have access to the specialist knowledge and care their pets need. It is the care of these less conventional pets that we term exotic medicine.
Please contact us if you have any queries or concerns about your feathered and scaly friends, or email us for more details about our exotic medicine services.
